The good Saint Valentine, who was a priest in Rome, in the year 269 A.D., together with his friend Saint Marius, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret.

The pipes in your home are just as likley to freeze as the roads are, with that said we all have to remember a few very important things!

• If it is 20 degrees or below, check your pipes
• Exposed pipes are most likley to freeze
• To help avoid with your pipes freezing, let the water flow through your pipes. Maybe let a faucet or a bath drip slightly
• Disconnect garden hoses or shut off water to outside valves and drain
• Keep the heat on in your home a consist tempature to help keep the pipes warm

If your pipes are frozen call us, we are available 24/7 to assist you with any emergency. Most importantly shut off the water at the main shut off valve in your home, if your pipes burst, this will do less damage then leaving the water on.

Do not on the otherhand:

• Try to thaw the pipe with standing electrical heating, open flames, or a torch

If you are worried about your pipes freezing, have them insulated to keep the heat in. A well insulated pipe is less likley to freeze.
